Honolulu is a great place for walking and jogging, As well as running, dashing and trudging along at your own slow pace. 

Walking in Waikiki is a great way to enjoy people watching. You will see a wide assortment of visitors from the US mainland,  Asia and other countries. Strolling Kalakaua Avenue is a popular and enjoyable way to relax and burn off a few calories, after dinner.

For joggers and Fleeties, two of Honolulu’s best places to jog, Kapiolani Park and Ala Moana Park are at the edge of Waikiki.

So, whether you are a casual walker or a Fleet of Foot Fleetie, you can do your thing during your Waikiki vacation.

For serious Fleeties and those willing to go the distance, the Honolulu Marathon is recognized as one of the top five marathons in the USA.  The 2014 Honolulu Marathon is scheduled for December 14, 2014.

A few side notes. The Honolulu Marathon record of 2:11:12 hours was set in 2004 by Jimmy Muindi, a World Class Fleetie from Kenya!
The last American male to win the Honolulu Marathon was Dave Gordon in 1982 and the last American female to come in first among the women runners was Cyndie Welte in 1988.
